In 2005 ATPF launched an initiative to provide FREE Early Intervention Preschool Screenings to children in local preschools throughout California for language and developmental delays. Provided by Kara Dodds and Associates in San Diego and Dr. Jean Novak of San Jose State University in the Bay Area, these screenings catch warning signs in children, allowing parents to get further diagnosis and treatment at a critical time in their children's lives. It costs the Autism Tree $36 to screen each child. ATPF now screens, on average, over 2,000 preschool children per year. ATPF provides all preschool screenings & preschool teacher trainings at no charge to the parent or the school site. ATPF has provided free early intervention screenings to over 50 preschool sites in San Diego and the Bay Area, including a partnership with Head Start San Diego.
Over 13,000 preschoolers provided FREE Early Intervention Preschool Screenings by ATPF to date!
