Adaptive Arts Program

Our mission with the Autism Tree Adaptive Art Program is to help families and children engage in affordable and accessible art projects that will give them sensory stimulation, allow them to practice social skills and communication, provide an opportunity to improve motor skills, and most importantly to have fun and be entertained virtually.

Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, this program consists of monthly virtual art classes and feature fun, interactive, and easy art projects, reaching many Autism Tree families with children of all ages. These classes have allowed Autism Tree kids and teens to socialize while learning new art techniques and practicing motor skills. All projects were led by interns and volunteers, allowing them an opportunity to practice their leadership and teaching skills while benefitting our families! Since 2020, this program has served 47 children and over 40 families to date.
