For Parents

Join the families, professionals, and friends that make up the Autism Tree Family and help us continue to serve one parent, one child, and one family at a time.

Are you a new parent to Autism Tree? Read below for tips on how to get started.

1. Fill out our Parent Intake Form

2. Explore Programs & Resources

All Autism Tree's educational and support programs are provided at no cost to families affected by autism.

Depending on your autistic child’s age, interests and needs, Autism Tree has a remarkable network of volunteer directors, parents and professionals to help your family on your autism journey through our 19 programs. These programs are designed to get families like yours out into the community, introduce you to more parents who understand and give your children more opportunities to socialize, create, and maintain friendships - all while having a fun, shared experience!

We also offer over 400+ resource videos on our YouTube channel, including but not limited to our Reading with Autism Tree series, Autism Tree at Home series, and weekly Lunch & Learn series.

Under the "Programs & Events" tab, we have divided our programs up based on your child's age, however, you are welcome to explore ANY of our programs. Please feel free to call our office at 619-222-6645 for recommendations on how to start getting your family involved!

2. Register for Upcoming Events

Our number one priority is and always will be providing more social opportunities and connections for our children, parents, and families. We understand autism affects the whole family unit and welcome the entire family (siblings, cousins, grandparents too!) to participate in our 200+ annual events (offered either virtually, in-person, or hybrid), including our annual Neuroscience Conference every Fall and Winter Wonderland holiday celebration in December.

Our team adds new events to our calendars every month! Follow our Facebook to stay up to date about what's coming up and check out our event calendar to register.

3. Get a Referral If You Need It

Looking for a speech or occupational therapist? Seeking guidance from a special education advocate lawyer? Trying to find horse riding, swim, or dance lessons for your child with autism?

View our Autism Tree Referrals & Resource Binder for more information on our most trusted community resources located in San Diego County. If you are located outside of San Diego County, please contact our team directly.

Our staff (Rebecca and Lupe) would love to hear from you!

Please call our office at 619-222-4465 if you have any questions.
