Bridge to the Beach Program

Launched in 2015, the Bridge to the Beach Program is an annual summer program created in partnership with the San Diego Junior Lifeguards and the City of San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Lifeguard Division.

This program pairs Autism Tree children one-on-one with Junior Lifeguards for mentoring, beach days, and a week-long summer camp filled with engaging, confidence-building water activities. Participants enjoy experiences such as swimming safety instruction, paddle boarding, kayaking, surfing, boogie boarding, snorkeling, and more — all in a supportive, family-friendly environment designed to build skills, friendships, and lasting memories at the beach. We have served almost 1,000 children.

We are proud for our Autism Tree Bridge to the Beach Program to be featured in "7 Best Summer Camps near San Diego for Kids with Autism" by Beaming Health.
