Las Vegas Cimarron-Memorial High School Football Mentor Program

The Autism Tree Las Vegas Cimarron-Memorial High School Football Mentor Program was launched in 2022 by Autism Tree-USD Football Player Mentor alumni Shane Kanie and pairs IEP students and their siblings with Cimarron-Memorial football players for one-on-one mentorship and relationship building.

Founded in partnership with Coach Shane Kanie and inspired by Autism Tree Ambassador Joel Anderson's presentation to over 2,500 students at the Cimarron-Memorial homecoming pep rally. This program provides meaningful opportunities for IEP students to connect with role models, develop confidence, and experience the excitement of high school football in a supportive environment.

The program encourages community engagement, purpose, and leadership through mentorship, summer football camps, and ongoing activities that foster inclusion, growth, and spread autism awareness through Southern Nevada.
